Watertown Police Finish Strong 5K

MISSION
This event will support the Watertown Police Relief Committee, Watertown Police Association and the Watertown Police Supervisors Association. The Watertown
Police Relief Association was organized in 1936 and changed to the Watertown Police Relief Committee in 2008. Our membership is comprised of sworn personnel,
regardless of rank, as well as all retired officers. WPRC was established for the purposes of assisting the families of deceased members and protecting and promoting
the social and economic welfare of their families and dependents.
This race was initially established due to the events occurring in Watertown following the Boston Marathon Bombings. It has since grown into a very popular community event for both residents of Watertown and the community.
ABOUT THE RACE
Course Description
The Watertown Police Finish Strong 5k Run/Walk begins at 11:00 am starting and finishing at City Works, Watertown, MA. The course is fast and fairly flat 3.1 miles (5k). Prizes to top male/female finishers plus various age categories. All runners will receive a free t-shirt. Runners and walkers welcome and for safety purposes, no skateboards, rollerblades/skates, bicycles, or animals can be taken on the course. Chip timing provided by Yankee Timing.
